Along with our standard sensors, you will see a preview of our new 'tip-timing' eddy current probe and driver, produced in conjunction with QinetiQ Ltd. This innovative technology provides a highly effective alternative to currently available optical and eddy current systems for blade maintenance in gas turbines and similar machinery.
In addition, we will have special offers on two of our most popular products.
Handheld vibration meter only £395 - a full £200 off the RRP of £595 - on all orders placed at Maintec. A tried and trusted favourite with maintenance engineers the world over, this entry-level system is easy to use, requires no connection to a PC and gives accurate, instant readings, ideal for routine system checks.

Maintec (NEC): 20-22nd March - Report.
This was the eleventh year exhibiting at Maintec for Monitran, and although the total number of visitors to Maintec was down on last year (1900), for Monitran it was the most successful year ever! This success is hardly surprising given the enthusiasm with which the bright new Monitran team set about their work.
Susan Toyn, Monitran’s Marketing Manager, reports: "This was my third year at Maintec representing Monitran, but it’s the first year that we’ve actively used the exhibition as a business generation tool. In past years it’s been more like a 'networking experience' but this year we went all out for business development. We had assembled a talented and enthusiastic team and they were really up for it. The visitors kept coming to the stand and the leads just kept pouring in. As Marketing Manager that’s what really gives me a buzz."
Susan went on: "It’s strange, but in the past nobody has ever thought to provide a demonstration of how our products work. But this year Chris Leede and Huw Finney our new Engineering Specialists, built a mock up gear shaft to show about ten of our products in action, including accelerometers, LVDTs and eddy current probes. They were all hooked up to a PC through one of our new MultiSelect switchboxes for easy readout of real-time data. This simple rig was like a magnet to old and new customers alike, to say nothing of the Press!"
"And talking of the Press, I had a great time meeting a whole bunch of editors and bringing them up to date with the new products and business partnerships that we announced at Maintec (see MultiSelect switchbox press release and the Applied Measurements press release here )They were also very interested in how Monitran, already a successful UK manufacturer, plans to stay ahead as the country’s leading worldwide vibration conditioning monitoring expert by expanding its product range and improving production."
Neill Ovenden, Monitran’s new Sales and Marketing Director, was representing the company for the first time at Maintec. He comments: "Many people think that exhibitions like Maintec are on the decline because of the ever-increasing influence of the web. But in my book nothing beats personal contact, and Maintec has given me a golden opportunity to find out direct from our customers what they really want. Certain topics came up time and again: remote access monitoring, smaller sensors, better lead times. We plan to address all these and more in the coming months."
Susan concludes: "We aim to keep you right up to date with what is happening with these products as developments occur. You can rest assured that, as soon as our new products are released, we will back them up with proper publicity and full information.
The Management of Monitran would like to take this opportunity of thanking the unbeatable team who helped make Maintec 2007 such a thumping success for all of us. Synergistic talks about joint business ventures started even before the exhibition ended, and orders from new leads started pouring in within hours after the exhibition. What a success story! The delegates at Maintec certainly got the message that Monitran is a company with a great past and a fantastic future!
